President’s Report: Carol Trimble

The Annual June Potluck Luncheon was enjoyed by 25 members and a wonderful variety of food.
Our July 4th Book Sale and Raffle was successful with proceeds of $1297. Thank you to all our volunteers who set up, managed check out, and packed and cleaned up.

Our next Friends meeting is Monday July 27th at 1:00pm in the Activity Center. Our speaker will be Mr. Bill Ahrendt,
Pine Artist who has had work in over 40 Arizona Highways.

Secretary’s Report: Barbara Hirsh

Our June Potluck was graced with wonderful food and friends, new, long time, and several guests. The summer decorations was provided by Junetta Clifford. A big thank you to Junetta. The table centerpieces were won by a guest, Reilah Minten, and members Linda Armstrong, Aggie Hansen, and Sharon Balentine.

There was no business meeting in June. Our next meeting is July 27th.

Treasurer’s Report: Nancy Hubbs

On April 22, 2015, the Pine Library Friends balance was $5093.02. On April 30th, deposits of $117.00 dues and $235.70 normal deposits. May 21st water for Activity Room at $6.86. On May 26th, deposits of $1336.21 for the book sale and $429.00 for the baseball/picnic raffle. Friends balance on 5/31/2015 was $7204.07. In June, supplies for Friends Note Cards was $55.79. Purchase created 750 note cards that last about 2 years and sell for $2.50/12pk. On June 18th a deposit of $81.00 and on June 25th deposit of $270.00 for dues. Friends balance on 6/30/15 was $7499.28.

Library Manager’s Report: Becky Waer
Newest library program kicks off Thursday, July 23rd from 3 – 6pm
“Library Lego Day”

Children 5 – 18 will have the opportunity to build LEGO displays for the library. Creations will be taken apart after 1 week on display. Children under 5 are welcome with direct adult supervision.

The library is looking for good condition used Legos. Tax receipt will be given with your donation
The library will be celebrating 40+1 years on Wednesday, August 12, 2015
OPEN HOUSE 10 – 4pm
Come in an enjoy a piece of birthday cake.

Saturday, August 15, 2015 – Meet Buckshot Dot (Dee Strickland Johnson), hear stories & listen to a song or two. Her newest book will be available for purchase. Inside the library from 11 – 1pm.

Thursday, August 20, 2015 – OneBookAZ “The Blind Eye” book discussion. Pick your time 10:30am or 5:30pm inside the library. Copies are available for checkout. Refreshments will be served.
