Summer Reading Reimagined!

It’s been a crazy spring and I’m sure you’re all anxious to get out of the house and enjoy the great weather!

We have been working very hard at the library, re-cataloging DVD’s, doing inventory of the children’s, junior and young adult sections and adding some new areas.  We miss all of our patrons!

I’ve been told that we need to reimagine our Summer Reading program for this year.  We may still be having limited access to the library in June, so we won’t be having any in-house programming.  But don’t despair!  I am putting together some fun crafts, STEAM activities, LEGO challenges and virtual story times. (If possible, we may have the story times outside!)

Please go online at: to register or even easier, download the READSquared app.  If you were part of summer reading last year, all you need to do is verify last year’s data, online or on the app. Logging reading is super easy either way.  You will have access to book lists, missions and games once you have registered.  Everyone – ages 0-99 may participate.

On June 2, I will have your first summer packets ready for you to pick up at the library.  These will be created especially for preschool and kids through 8th grade.  I will also have Family packs, upon request, so you can read, craft, and play together.

We are now offering curbside pick-up.  Just go online at: and select the catalog.  Then reserve your materials (make sure you select IHP as your library). You can also call to reserve books.

Please tell your friends and let’s read together!

I can’t wait to see you again!!
